September 1924

Wednesday 3rd   It was a fine day.  In the pm Willie & Grace brought a taxi up to Mr Wallaces to take me across to Auckland to stay with them at 85 Norfolk St Ponsonby.  When we got the other side we took a motor buss up to their place.   While I was at their place I had a bad cough, Willie dressed my feet night & morning.   The latter part of the time my feet were better so that I could get my boots on .  On a Sunday afternoon I walked up to Ponsonby road to see Dr Lees funeral go by.  The next day Grace & I went to Karangahape Rd and ordered two easy chairs for a present to Mr & Mrs A. Dunning, also did other shopping.  Next day I went down Queen St by myself, called at Post Office,  Mr Elliotts  and did some shopping.
