Wednesday 1st     The Annual Show.  It was a great success.  There were a great number present.  Mr & Mrs T. Pratt & Mr & Mrs Denby slept at our house that night.

Monday 13th   John did not go with Willie to Tomarata this morning, but he and Henry went Barrow Hill and brought the heifer Judy who has a fine bull calf about a month old.  It is very wild, but the mother is very quiet and milks well.

Saturday 18th   Henry & I were working with the Bullocks, hauling Sleepers out of the School Reserve, we have been hauling out Posts all week.  John & Willie came home in the evening.

Sunday 19th   Revd R. McKinney preached in the Hall in the morning, there was a very large congregation.  I held no service in the evening.

Monday 20th   Willie went to Tomarata early in the morning.  John stopped at home this week and helped us carry out Posts, make roads & c.  Henry & I were working with the bullocks, hauling Firewood on the catamaran down to Mathesons landing.

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 21st, 22nd & 23rd   We were working the bullocks every day hauling out Posts & Firewood, as we want to set fire to the bush the first favourable wind.

Monday 27th   We were hauling firewood and we set fire to the bush in the afternoon, but we had a very bad burn, as there was no wind.

Tuesday 28th   We were logging up all day.

Wednesday 29th   We were logging up.  I went to the Steamer in the afternoon.  We got the Sheep up in the evening.

Thursday 30th   We cleaned all the Sheep and Lambs also , drenched the Lambs with Turpentine & New Milk.  1 pint of Turpentine to 2 pints of New Milk, well stirred together, dose 3 Table spoonfuls, equal to 2 onces.
I went logging up in the afternoon.
Mr Alex Matheson and Miss Haskell were married by Revd R. McKinney this afternoon, they gave a party in the Hall, Maud, Willie, Henry & Minnie went to it.

Friday 31st   We were logging up all day.  Killed a Sheep in the evening.
